{Long} Over due!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New year! It has been a long while since I have posted and wanted to update everyone to happenings here. I am not intentionally ignoring my blog.. there has been allot going on and I promise I will be a regular poster again as soon as I can.

{Our Texas trip} As most anyone who knows me knows, our oldest son Nick, is in the Army and returned from Iraq in December. Our trip to Texas to visit him and his family was wonderful. We really weren’t ready for it to be over. Our grandson, Noah is …getting so big! He is 9 months already! I have never seen a happier baby. We discovered midweek during our trip that he had two new teeth breaking through. But you never would have known by his demeanor. He is just that happy of a baby. It was wonderful to spend time with them at their place at Ft Bliss. The weather was a nice welcome change from the teen temps we are having here in January in central Indiana. I have lots of pics I’ll post later!!!

{Stuff happens} Due to an accident leaving me with several broken ribs :(  my winter break has been extended. I had intended to be back into work by mid January but that has come and gone. As if broken ribs weren’t enough I took a spill on my moms icy steps and twisted my back and really messed up a muscle in my thigh while trying to keep from falling all the way down! OUCH! I think I have contracted a severe case of {Klutz-i-tous}!

If you are an 08 senior looking to have your senior portraits done it is not too late. But due to Indiana winter weather and my injury I will not be scheduling any shoots until after March 1st. I will send out all available session dates and times to anyone who emails me. Those dates will be available mid to late February.  March sessions for seniors will be limited to on location sessions, which are soooo much fun and filled with so much variety. I am really looking forward to these!!!

{One year old} Kia

What a little sweet heart. She was not feeling her best during our session.  We’re going to get together again and get some shots of the whole family after the holidays, probably in the spring.  This isn’t really a sneak peek as mom and dad already have their gallery, but I just wanted to share one of this little pretty doll. Don’t ya just love her pouty face?!

Tis the {season}

to be busy!

It has really been a busy busy fall and winter season thus far!!! I haven’t had much opportunity to post on the blog over the last couple weeks and to anyone who is patiently waiting for their gallery to be loaded, they are coming!  I promise! Between the busy-ness of business, having a temporarily sidelined assistant with a broken ankle and ultimately surgery and having some health issues myself, I am working around the clock on order fullfillment and processing.

I’d love to say I have all my Christmas shopping in order, but I have yet to buy gift ONE and we only have ELEVEN days left until Christmas. Oh my!

Thank you so much to all of our family, friends and clients who have been sending your well wishes and prayers. Our son Nickolas has returned home safely, to Texas, from Iraq. I know our daughter-in-law, Linzi and grandson Noah are elated about their very best gift of all. We were hoping to go down this month but my husbands work wasn’t really cooperative with the schedule we wanted so plans have changed. We will be gone in January instead. But, Nick *is* home!

I have several December mommies-to-be due soon and those sessions will take place even though no other sessions are being scheduled. Hopefully these babies will all cooperate and be born before our trip to Texas or wait until we get back??? lol Newborn sessions are typically done before your baby is 14 days old. As you know if you are pregnant, you need to schedule your newborn session to be on the books before you give birth.

We are still receiving orders and just wanted to update the delivery schedule. As long as your order is place AND paid in full on or before December 16th, we should still be able to receive before Christmas delivery. Anything ordered and paid for after December 16th will have a prolonged delivery period.

Our office will be running limited office hours during the months from December-February. will be closed for the winter from 12/21 – 2/31. All calls and emails will be answered after that time.

For any expectant mothers who are on the list, and their babies are due during this time frame..please call or email me upon the birth of your baby.
